What I was most anxious about regarding the trip to USA and Kamilla was not the flights but her routine. Would she be suffering from jet-lag! As it turns out there werer no problems regarding her sleep and if anything she slept better there than she does at home. She usually was in bed by 7 pm and slept until 7 am.
Now when we are at home our sleeping is all messed up. We have slept until noon and although Kamilla still goes to sleep early she wakes up around midnight. Last night she tried and tried to go back to sleep. It was so hard, she was twisting and turning and even moaning or growling! It was as if mentally she knew it was the middle of the night and she should be asleep but physically her inner timeschedule was all messed up. But it worked out eventually and she fell back asleep.
At her grandmother's house, she got to sleep in a fancy travelling bed / playpin. It was great for her because she had a lot of space to roam during the night. She normally moves a lot while she sleeps and perhaps this is the reason she slept so well there.
This morning we woke up at normal time and I hope we are back to normal sleep-wise.
