Kamilla spent a lot of time with her grandparents this weekend. With her granddad and gramma Sigrún on Saturday and grandma Rósa on Sunday. She had so much fun on both occations. Her mom is busy working on her dissertation so babysitting is really appreciated.
She was so happy when we came to pick her up yesterday (it was a holiday in Iceland) that she was singing 'góu gabi' which means 'góðu skapi - good mood'. She caught the phrase from her gramma, who ask her if she was in a good mood.
Her gramma performed a miricle. She gave her a haircut. Kamilla hates being probed at, whether it is cutting hair, checking ears, checking throats, cleaning eyes and such. But she doesn't mind having her face cleaned, but that's it.

Here is a recent picture of her for comparison:

So how did she do it? It was pure genius - she let Kamilla 'do the dishes'. In other words, play with water and plates in the sink. It is her favorite thing to do. She can spend 30 - 40 min doing it.
