Today is Iceland's Independance day. We are celebrating that 61 years ago (1944) Iceland gained independance from Denmark. Both the girls are sleeping now but when Kamilla wakes up we will go for a walk downtown. This day is notorious for it's bad weather. It always rains this day! But this year is a rare exeption and it's sunny and nice out (I was just out in the hamock). Downtown is filled with people and kids and a lot of activity.
Ása Sóley's life is full of excitements. Today she took a shower for the first time. She went with me (Sonja) and she seemed to like it. Didn't even complain when I washed her face! This is something we neglected to do with Kamilla, even if I knew it could cause problems in the long run. It did. Kamilla is afraid of the shower and hates having water poured over her head. Washing her hair is a tramatic experience for all of us. I don't really know what to do or how to fix it.
I forgot to mention that the other day Ása Sóley went for almost 3 days without pooping. She was irritable, especially in the evening but after she pooped (3x in an hour) she felt a lot better. Now there's been 1 day without pooping, I hope this doesn't repeat itself!
